The Civil War impacted Kentucky in such a different way than it did the other states. Kentucky was said to be neutral but that was according to who you asked in the state. The war pitted families against each other. It had a lasting impact on neighbors as evidenced by the long-standing feuds throughout the state. Many of these feuds had roots to differences of opinions of the nature of the State’s involvement.
